Beginner — Day 2 — Me, You, and Others

The next morning, Anna sees Nok again. Nok has a new book.

Anna: 'Is that your book, Nok?'
Nok: 'Yes, it is my book. It is about English grammar.'
Anna: 'And who is that man?'
Nok: 'He is my brother. His name is Tam. He is a student too.'
Anna: 'Is this her bag?' (Anna points to another woman)
Nok: 'No, that is not her bag. That is my bag!'

They laugh together.

Notice the small words in the story: it, he, his, her, my. These are pronouns and possessive adjectives. I → my, you → your, he → his, she → her, it → its, we → our, they → their. Use them before a noun, like 'my book' or 'his name'.
