Grammar LV2 — Day 5 — Passive Voice: Other Tenses & By-Agent

The passive isn't limited to present and past simple — it follows the same 'be + past participle' pattern into almost every other tense, just changing the form of 'be'. Present perfect passive: has/have + been + V3 ('The work has been finished'). Future passive: will + be + V3 ('The results will be announced tomorrow'). Modal passive: modal + be + V3 ('The report must be submitted by Friday').

When the doer IS worth mentioning, add 'by + person/thing' at the end: 'The Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo da Vinci.' Leave it out when it's unknown, obvious, or unimportant: 'My phone was stolen' (we don't know who).
