Grammar LV1 — Day 4 — Possessives & Demonstratives

Two small but essential tools today. First, showing that something belongs to someone: add 's to a name or noun (Anna's book, my sister's phone), or use a possessive adjective (my, your, his, her, its, our, their). Second, pointing at things: 'this/these' for close things, 'that/those' for things farther away — and remember, 'this' and 'that' are for one thing, 'these' and 'those' are for more than one.

A quick trap: 'it's' (with an apostrophe) always means 'it is', never possession. The possessive form of 'it' has NO apostrophe: 'its' (The dog wagged its tail).

Today's Grammar

's shows possession (Anna's book) | my/your/his/her/its/our/their | this/that (one thing), these/those (more than one).
